Bible Study and Prayer Groups

Café Church meets in the foyer of the church centre off Russell St on Sunday nights from 7pm for a time of catching up with what is going on for each other, prayer and Bible study. It also includes monthly Holy Communion and prayer for healing on the fourth Sunday in a month. An open welcome to attend is extended to interested people.

Other Bible Study groups meet at various locations during the week on Tuesday lunchtime (women’s group) and Thursday morning. Further Bible study groups meet for blocks of time in the course of the year. Open to all to attend

Modern Theology groups are safe places for people to share their struggles with parts of traditional theology. The groups have been using Marcus Borg’s “The Heart of Christianity” to guide them in their discussions. Open to all to attend

Midweek Prayer Meeting  each week on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 1:30pm in the worship centre. Open to all to attend

4-Week Advent Conspiracy Bible Study Groups

Are you joyous about Christmas being upon us?  Or just consumed with all the to do lists, shopping lists and busyness?  Stop and reimagine Christmas and refocus on the joy and wonder of Jesus’ birth by joining the Advent Conspiracy, through a 4 week Bible study group.

The Advent Conspiracy is a movement started in the US by a group of pastors who decided that Christmas had become too much about shopping and busyness and too little about Jesus and true relationships between people.  The Advent Conspiracy themes will form the basis of a four week   Advent Conspiracy themed bible study. Details of meeting times are below.
